Based on the country’s tax laws,

Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% IVA supplement, you must present a copy of your passport and indicate the exact day of your entry into our country.

If you do not present your passport or indicate the date of entry to Peru or if you are in Peru for more than 59 days, the
supplement must be paid.

Foreign business travelers who require a printed invoice will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. The supplement is not automatically included in the total amount of the reservation.

Bookings

The confirmation of the reservation will be made via WhatsApp or via email.

1.- Send us an email or WhatsApp asking  if we have availability, indicating the exact dates and the type of room.

2.- After our confirmation send us the following information And payment

 
-First and last name of the guests

-Copy of passports (legible)

-Entry date to Peru

And to complete the reservation you have to make the payment of 100% of the cost of the room via paypal , they accept all cards.

Please add + 5%, this corresponds to the payment of the commissions charged by banks in Peru to be able to withdraw the money.

Cancellation

The client can cancel the reservation  up to 14 days before the arrival date. After cancellation, the refund will be made after one week via PayPal, less 15% of administrative and reservation processing costs. 

The client will have to pay the full price of the reservation if he cancels during the 14 days before the arrival date. 

If the client does not show up on the day of his reservation, the money paid cannot be returned.

Check-in / Check-out 

Check-in time: From 12:00pm

Check out time: 10:00 am

Ask for an earlier Check-in

Ask for a late Check-out for an additional payment.

We apologize if this is new to you, but since 2025 the Peruvian state requires all
hotels registered in Peru to register all guests without any exception.

And if a
hotel does not ask you for that, it is because it is not a registered hotel and
does not have the corresponding permits or authorizations.

The million dollar question:

And if I make my reservation through booking, hostelworld, AirBnB, will they also ask me
for all that information?

Surely when the OTAs (Booking, hostelworld, AirBnb) accept your reservation, the hotel will
contact you to send you all the information that we are asking for.

Obviously the OTAs will not ask for that information because it would go against their
advertising, which is to book with just one click.

But remember that hotels are currently asking for all that documentation and the
OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) cannot do absolutely anything.

Responsibility

La casa de Santiago does not assume responsibility for third-party services such as mule services, horses,muleteers, 4×4 transportation, local buses, tourist buses, hostels, hostels within the canyon or any other type of service not mentioned. All we do is help you make your reservation with the different service providers without making any profit for it.

If these services arrive late, do not show up or an accident happens, La Casa de Santiago will not responsible. Before booking these types of services mentioned and not mentioned, the client will be required to purchase medical and repatriation insurance from their country. Both the Peruvian state and La casa de Santiago are not responsible for this.

Damage and deterioration

-Cooking is not allowed inside the room

-It is not allowed to use the hair dryer to dry clothes

-It is not allowed to hang clothes on the balcony

-It is not allowed to dry clothes on top of the heater

-It is not allowed to eat tuna or any food that leaves a strong smell in the room

-If you misuse the towels, bedding and room equipment, a penalty will be applied according to our internal rules.
